You don’t always have to keep you game face on {vlog}

I am so touched by the transparency of my friends in social media, who allow themselves to be vulnerable and let others into their hearts.
As entrepreneurs, we constantly face the intrinsic and extrinsic challenge of feeling the pressure of always keeping our game face on, presenting the facade of ‘things are wonderful’ even when they’re not.  And compounding this is our natural tendency as women, to be strong for everyone else.

But we don’t have to always be strong, we don’t always have to carry our cross in silence.  Join in the communities I recommended yesterday, meet those people and you will see there is strength and support in the social media world that reaches far beyond what you might ever have imagined.

So, today, I take my game face off.

What do you think of being vulnerable on video? Did this message resonate with you? Share your thoughts below!

Feeling alone in your entrepreneurship?

I hear it time and time again.  Most people can’t relate to your entrepreneurship – your dreams, your drive, your divine purpose.  They don’t understand that loud voice inside that tells you every day – you are meant to share your gifts with the world in a bigger way.

You see, most people don’t like change.  The very thing you crave, they despise.

People fear the unknown; risk = change = scary.

You defy what is logical and safe to most people.

So they give you their best and most well-meaning advice.

They want what’s best for you, and forget that it isn’t the same as what is best for them.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Listen to the beat of your own heart, the voice of your soul, and the feeling in your gut.  You know you were born for this.

Learn to be ok with some people not understanding (or sometimes even respecting) your journey in this life.

You’re one in a million baby, you’re supposed to be different!

Be true to yourself.

Surround yourself with those who lift you up, celebrate your victories (even the small ones), and who listen, advise and encourage you to continue on when you feel like giving up (because yes, we all have those days).

What makes a champion is the tenacity to keep on going, no matter how slowly by times, no matter how weak, discouraged or doubtful you may feel.  When you keep putting one foot in front of the other, keep getting up every time you are knocked down – you are a champion of your destiny!

You’re only human, and you’re vulnerable.  Susceptible to fears and the chant of the non-trepreneurs.  A victorious leader of your life.  Following your passion, purpose and desire to make a difference in the world.

Hold your head high, be full of pride (not conceit).

Though you may feel alone,  you are never alone.

Find those who cheer your spirit, love you fully, dream of your success!

They’re out there – waiting to grab your hand and be your friend through this journey.

The beauty of this era is that there is whole world of support for you – and it’s only a tweet or post away!

Here are the ones I whole-heartedly recommend!

Who’s making plans for you?

I saw a great photo that I shared on my Facebook page  about permission and my mind quickly turned over to this powerful quote from Jim Rohn:

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much”.

Are you waiting for someone to tell you how to step into your greatness?  To give you permission, or to give you the plan?

From fog to focus : sometimes you have to just begin.

If you have the plan but never take the first step, then you never move from where you are in your life.  You stay stuck.

Do you want more from your life than what you’re experiencing today?  Then you’ve got to suck it up, buttercup.  Take a big breath and do it.  It’s scary yes, but exhilarating to take back your power.  To dare to dream BIG and act BIGGER.

Not everyone has the moxie, the guts, the tenacity to do it – do you?

Maybe because you’re already an entrepreneur, you think this doesn’t apply to you, but I disagree.  Are you still filled with passion about what you do, or are you dragging through each day half-heartedly?  Some entrepreneurs do what they’re good at, but not what they love.  Are you one?

Do you want to live like most people and settle for what you think you can get, or do you choose  to wield your power, step up and claim the life you really want?  If you want more out of your life, answering this question will guide you to knowing what you want more of:

Ask yourself: “If I could do what I really want to do with my life right now, with a guarantee I couldn’t fail, what would I do?

You can have the life you want, it’s up to you to go out there and create it!  You can do this!

I’d love to hear what you decided to create in your life!
